USA Hockey began its quest for the 2025 IIHF World Juniors Championship on Dec. 26 in Ottawa, Canada. Team USA played the first game of the tournament against Germany, winning 10-4.

Team USA defeated Sweden, 6-2, on Friday to win the 2024 IIHF World Junior Championship in Gothenburg, Sweden.

The International Ice Hockey Federation's World Junior Championship is widely considered one of the greatest showcases of talent on the hockey calendar every year. Featuring the world's best players under the age of 20, with many players already drafted by NHL teams and others on their way to being drafted, the World Juniors is one of the best chances to see the superstars of tomorrow.

The IIHF World Junior Championship is an annual tournament showcasing the best under-20 talent around the world. The first official tournament was held in 1977.
