USHL Power Rankings: Still Without A Regulation Loss, Fargo ...
Writer Ryan Sikes provides his view on the league every other week with our USHL Power Rankings.
Welcome to FloHockey's bi-monthly power rankings for the USHL. Find out which of the league’s 16 teams rise and fall over the course of the long regular season.
1. Fargo Force / Last Ranking: 1
Record: 13-0-1-0
The Force remain atop our rankings this week, boasting the fewest goals allowed in the USHL (26) by a wide margin.
Zam Plante (PIT) is having a breakout season in his third year, sitting with nine goals and 11 assists. His 20 points ranks third in the league.
Meanwhile, netminder Anton Castro owns the best goals-against average (1.75) and fourth-best save percentage (0.916).
2. Dubuque Fighting Saints / Last Ranking: 2
Record: 11-2-1-2
Dubuque continues to exude a ton of offense, leading the league in goals scored (82).
Erik Pahlsson leads all USHL skaters with 23 points in 16 games, including eight points on the man advantage.
The Fighting Saints have four of the top eight point-producers in the USHL, with University of Denver commit James Reeder already over halfway to his point total from last year.
3. Youngstown Phantoms / Last Ranking: 3
Record: 11-4-1-0
The Phantoms earned a gritty shootout win over Dubuque on Friday, before dropping a 4-1 contest the following night.
Ryan Botterill is making his case as a re-entry candidate in the 2024 NHL Draft. The University of Wisconsin commit has eight goals and 15 points, including four multi-point efforts in his last seven games.

4. Green Bay Gamblers / Last Ranking: 6
Record: 11-5-1-0
The Gamblers are back up in our rankings, having collected points in their last seven games.
Julian Lutz (ARI) has been on a tear since making his USHL debut, collecting points in nine of his 13 games.
Netminder Adam Gajan (CHI) owns the third-best save percentage (0.917) and eighth-best goals-against average (2.84) in the league.
5. Sioux City Musketeers / Last Ranking: 4
Record: 9-5-4-0
The Muskies lost their first two games without rookie sensation Hagen Burrows, who returned to Minnetonka to defend their state title. That said, Kaden Shahan looks like a solid re-entry prospect in next year’s NHL Draft. He leads the league with 15 goals, just five shy of last year’s total.
6. Madison Capitols / Last Ranking: 5
Record: 8-4-2-1
Madison drops one spot in our rankings, having lost its last three games.
Defenseman Will Felicio (2024) snapped an eight-game streak without a goal Saturday and now has five goals on the year.
Patriks Berzins and Carsen Musser have developed into an excellent duo in net, with the former boasting the second-best save percentage (0.922) in the USHL.

7. Tri-City Storm / Last Ranking: 9
Record: 9-6-1-0
Tri-City is back on track.
The Storm have points in their last three games, and forward Trevor Connelly (2024) snapped an eight-game streak without a goal.
While Cameron Korpi has been receiving the lion’s share of starts in net, Ivan Zhigalov picked up his first USHL win Saturday, stopping 30-of-33 shots on goal.
8. Cedar Rapids RoughRiders / Last Ranking: 11
Record: 8-6-1-1
Here come the Riders! Cedar Rapids just wrapped up a five-game road trip, going 4-0-1-0 over that span.
Amine Hajibi has hit the ground running in his new threads, collecting 13 points in 13 games since being acquired from Green Bay.
Netminder Sam Scopa is starting to find his groove, having collected wins in his last three games.
9. Sioux Falls Stampede / Last Ranking: 8
Record: 9-6-1-0
The Herd got back into the win column with a 4-2 win over Omaha on Saturday.
Beckett Hendrickson (BOS) had his first three-point night for Sioux Falls in that game and now has points in six of his last eight games.
Netminder Caleb Heil (2024) snapped a two-game skid, turning aside 27-of-29 shots on goal.

10. Muskegon Lumberjacks / Last Ranking: 7
Record: 8-6-1-1
The Jacks are down three spots, having dropped their last three games.
Penalties have become a problem again, as Muskegon leads the USHL in PIM (346).
Forward Matvei Gridin (2024) has 11 goals and 10 assists. His 21 points are the second-most in the league.
11. Des Moines Buccaneers / Last Ranking: 13
Record: 5-6-3-0
The Bucs have rebounded from a slow start and now have points in their last five games.
Rookie forward and Arizona State commit Ben Kevan is riding a three-game goal streak, leading the team with 14 points. The plan is for Kevan to remain with the Des Moines for the remainder of the season, after contemplating a return to the Los Angeles Jr. Kings 16U club.
Netminder Ethan Dahlmeir earned his first USHL Goaltender of the Week honors for his performance last week and is riding a three-game win streak.
12. Waterloo Black Hawks / Last Ranking: 10
Record: 6-7-0-0
The Black Hawks have dropped their last two contests and are 5-5-0-0 over their last 10 games.
After a fast start in Waterloo, Adam Zlnka (ARI) has cooled off, collecting just one point over his last six games.
Netminder Calvin Vachon saw his five-game win streak end Friday, as he allowed a season-high six goals against Tri-City.
13. USNTDP / Last Ranking: 12
Record: 5-8-0-0
Hopefully, William Moore’s (2025) play at the 2023 U-17 World Hockey Challenge can get him going in USHL play. After collecting just four points in seven games, Moore led Team USA with seven goals and 12 points, helping the Americans to a silver-medal finish.

Meanwhile, the U18 squad captured gold at the 2023 U18 Five Nations tournament.
Kristian Epperson (2024) recorded four goals and five points, and Cole Eiserman (2024) provided the game-winner in a lopsided 11-3 final over Czechia in the championship game.

14. Chicago Steel / Last Ranking: 15
Record: 3-8-1-1
The Steel are showing some signs of life and have collected points in their last three games, including a 9-7 barn burner against Madison last Friday.
While Michael Hage (2024) and Lukas Sawchyn (2025) garner the headlines, Joey DelGreco has been red-hot lately. The Augustana commit recorded a hat trick against the Caps, earning USHL Forward of the Week honors, and he is up to 12 points through the first 13 games.
15. Lincoln Stars / Last Ranking: 14
Record: 3-9-0-2
The Stars are struggling mightily to score goals and have dropped their last eight games.
Defenseman Adam Kleber (2024) snapped a seven-game streak without any points Saturday.
Netminder Yan Shostak has lost his last four games and allowed a season-high five goals in Friday’s loss at Green Bay.
16. Omaha Lancers / Last Ranking: 16
Record: 2-11-2-0
The Lancers have gone 2-6-2-0 over their last 10 games, and there seems to be no sign of turning this thing around.
Omaha has yet to see a player eclipse the 10-point mark, with Aleksi Kivioja the closest at five goals and nine points through the first 15 games.
