Each week veteran hockey analyst Chris Peters delivers his men's college hockey power rankings. Check back every week to see who's rising, who's falling and where your favorite team might land.

1. Boston College (11-2-1) | Last Week: 1

The Eagles continue to march forward and solidify their status as the No. 1 team in the land. BC earned 6-1 and 4-1 victories over Notre Dame and Harvard, respectively, on the road last weekend. Freshman Ryan Leonard (WSH) scored four goals over the weekend as he pushed his season total to nine. BC is absolutely loaded up front with one of the best top six forward groups in the country and their defense has held up especially well despite some youth back there.

2. North Dakota (11-2-1) | Last Week: 2

A sweep of Bemidji State including a tense (and somewhat controversial) overtime victory in the Friday night game keeps things rolling for the Fighting Hawks. UND is on a seve-game heater with contributions up and down their lineup. Jackson Blake (CAR) continues his offensive tear with 18 points in 14 games to lead the team.

3. Denver (10-3-1) | Last Week: 3

The Pioneers hosted Yale over the holiday weekend and were not very giving. They swept the Bulldogs while outscoring them 14-0. Freddy Halyk posted back-to-back shutouts as he solidifies his grasp on the No. 1 job for DU. Meanwhile, freshman Zeev Buium (2024) had a five-point weekend as he continues to look like anything but a true freshman defenseman. He was the NCHC's player of the month.

4. Boston University (9-4-1) | Last Week: 4

A win over Quinnipiac on Wednesday and a narrow defeat to the stingy Cornell Big Red gave the Terriers a mixed bag of results over the holiday week. They've got a pair of games against Merrimack this weekend before going on an extended break for the holidays. The Terriers should expect a few current players to get called to their respective national teams for World Juniors.

5. Quinnipiac (9-4-1) | Last Week: 6

The Bobcats only game last week was their tight loss to Boston University, but there were some good signs overall in that game that they controlled for large chunks of. A third-period collapse, however, was some cause for concern. Either way, Quinnipiac still looks like they should be a team viewed as a legitimate contender going forward.

6. Michigan State (10-4-2) | Last Week: 7

An intense series against Minnesota on the road was a tremendous test for the Spartans. They earned a tie in the first game before a narrow 6-5 OT defeat against the Gophers, but you can see plenty of positives from the Spartans, who haven't lossed in regulation since a road sweep at Boston College in late October. Watching the Spartans manage the wild swings in games with the Gophers is the sign of a team that's really putting it all together.

7. Minnesota (7-4-3) | Last Week: 8

An unbeaten weekend with a tie and overtime win against Michigan State last weekend was an encouraging result for a team that's still trying to find its identity. The 6-5 OT win was a gutsy one with contributions from all over the lineup. Now the Gophers will hit the road for four straight games in December, first at Penn State and then at Ohio State, as they look to close out the first half on a high note.

8. UMass (9-3-2) | Last Week: 11

Wins in five of their last six games has the Minutemen cruising into the month of December. UMass picked up a difficult 6-5 win over Harvard last Friday and will play just one game this weekend, a Friday night road contest at Vermont. Junior defenseman Scott Morrow (CAR) continues to pace the offense with 15 points in 13 games.

9. Wisconsin (10-4-0) | Last Week: 6

The Badgers followed up getting swept at Michigan State with a 1-0 loss to Alaska Anchorage on home ice last Friday. Wisconsin bounced back in the second game, earning a 5-0 win. Now they host Ohio State for a pair of critical games as they look to get the consistency that they started the season with back.

10. Maine (6-3-1) | Last Week: 10

Maine was idle last weekend, but will be awfully busy with four games over the first nine days of December starting with New Hampshire on Friday night. Freshman Josh Nadeau is atop the team's scoring list with 13 points through his first 10 NCAA games.

11. Providence (9-4-2) | Last Week: 8

With losses in three of their last four games, the Friars have been in a little bit of a downturn to close out November. They're idle this weekend before a big road tilt at Boston College on Dec. 9. Though they hit a rough patch, being swept by UMass before splitting with Arizona State, Providence had built up a nice cushion for themselves and are well-positioned to be a contender in the second half.

12. Arizona State (10-3-1) | Last Week: 12

Having won six of their last eight games with the only losses coming against Denver and Providence in that span, the Sun Devils have made the most of home-cooking. They're playing their first road games since the end of October this weekend as they travel to Colorado Springs for a series with Colorado College. ASU will be one of the most active teams in December, playing eight games over the month.

13. Western Michigan (8-3-1) | Last Week: 15

The Broncos have rattled off four straight wins. They've scored 16 goals over that span, while allowing just two. They host Lindenwood for a pair of non-conference games before a massive home series against Denver the following week. Among the biggest developments for WMU this season, senior goalie Cameron Rowe is playing the best hockey of his collegiate career. He owns a .922 save percentage and two shutouts so far this season.

14. New Hampshire (7-3-1) | Last Week: 13

UNH split with RIT on the road, but did score four goals in each game. The Wildcats have scored four goals in each of their last four games and four or more in seven of their 11 games so far this season. A massive test awaits on Friday night, however, as the Wildcats will meet Maine in a critical Hockey East showdown.

15. Michigan (7-6-3) | Last Week: 16

The Wolverines went unbeaten in a tough non-conference road series at St. Cloud State, earning a tie and a win against the Huskies.  It was an encouraging result for a team that has struggled to find consistency. One thing that makes it more difficult for them is Rutger McGroarty (WPG) being out for an undetermined amount of time. He was the team's leading scorer before going down with injury. Others, however, have really picked up the slack. Michigan has seven point-per-game players this year.

16. RIT (8-4-0) | Last Week: NR

The Tigers picked up another signature win for their season, besting UNH in a 5-4 victory before dropping a 4-3 OT decision. The Tigers made the most of home ice against a tough opponent. RIT now has key non-conference wins over UNH and Notre Dame. They've got a weekend series at home against Robert Morris in Atlantic Hockey action, which you can catch right here on FloHockey.

Dropped Out: Notre Dame
