It was one of the busiest nights of the week for minor league hockey as the American Hockey League (AHL) brought a full slate of exciting action to the ice tonight.

The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins had a huge 5-0 win following a 4-3 Marlies win that kicked off today’s slate of games.

The Senators, Cleveland, and Hershey also came away with huge victories. Arguably the most surprising outcome of today was last place team in the Pacific, the Henderson Silver Knights, defeating the Calgary Wranglers, the top team in the Pacific in a dominating 8-3 victory.

As NHL fans keep an eye on the future stars of the league, tonight’s games are the perfect chance to track up-and-coming talent, including the latest AHL transactions and matchups that could set the stage for major AHL and NHL movements later this season.
