FloSports has reached a multi-year agreement with the Swedish Hockey League (SHL) to stream 100 English Commentary games exclusively in the U.S. on its FloHockey platform starting on Thursday, October 3.

The first FloHockey SHL broadcast of the season will feature two of Sweden's most legendary clubs as Frölunda takes on MoDo at 1 p.m. ET Thursday.

The SHL is widely considered one of hockey’s best pro leagues with many of the NHL's best import players cutting their teeth in Sweden's top pro division before hopping the pond. The league is currently home to dozens of NHL-affiliated prospects including recent first-round NHL Draft picks Axel Sandin-Pellikka (DET), Otto Stenberg (STL), Theo Lindstein (STL), Stian Solberg (ANA) and David Edstrom (NSH), among many other notable future NHLers. 

This agreement, coupled with the recent addition of the AHL to FloHockey, will give FloHockey subscribers a front-row seat to catch the brightest up–and-coming stars on the ice with access to more than 21,000 live hockey games across the platform. 

In addition to streaming the English commentary games, FloHockey's lead prospects analyst Chris Peters will provide coverage of future NHL players across the league, while highlights and additional analysis will be shared across FloHockey's social media platforms.

All games will be available via HD-quality streams on desktop, laptop, tablet and mobile devices at FloHockey.tv, as well as through the FloSports app and connected devices, Apple TV, Roku, Amazon Fire TV and Chromecast. 

Last year was a record-breaking season for FloHockey, which drove more than 235 million live minutes to over 4 million fans and generated 23 million impressions and 13 million video views across FloHockey social channels.
