Ryan Fanti Scores First Goalie Goal In Fort Wayne Komets History

Ft. Wayne Komets' Ryan Fanti became the first goalie to score a goal in a game in the franchise's 71-year history when he hit an empty-netter against the Rapid City Rush in ECHL action.

Signed as an undrafted free agent out of the University of Minnesota Duluth by the Edmonton Oilers last season, Fanti has spent much of this season with the Komets. Aside from all the pucks he's been stopping, Fanti has also collected an assist, got into a fight and now has a goal to go along with his remarkable season.
