How have NHL organizations fared in the Calder Cup Playoffs? And how many Calder Cup championships has each organization won?

Dating back to the 1967-68 season when the NHL doubled in size to 12 teams and established NHL-AHL affiliations became the norm, the Detroit Red Wings and Washington Capitals each have won six Calder Cup titles. Right behind those two organizations are the Montreal Canadiens and Philadelphia with five Calder Cup champions apiece.

The fight for the Calder Cup has not been limited to a select number of teams, either. Prospects for the California Golden Seals, Hartford Whalers, Minnesota North Stars, Quebec Nordiques, and the original Winnipeg Jets all reached the Calder Cup Finals.

Who has never reached the Calder Cup Finals? The Anaheim Ducks, Florida Panthers, and San Jose Sharks are all still searching for their first Calder Cup championship.

The Hershey Bears have won the Calder Cup while affiliated with Washington and Philadelphia along with the Boston Bruins and Pittsburgh Penguins.
