The 2025 NCAA Hockey tournament begins on March 27 as 16 teams will play in four regionals as they seek to win the grand prize of a national championship.

Teams were selected on March 23, consisting of six automatic qualifiers (Bentley, Michigan State, Minnesota State Mankato, Cornell, Maine, and Western Michigan) and 14 other at-large bids.

Denver is the defending champion and is seeking its third title in four years, which would make it a dynasty.

Quinnipiac and UMass are also in the tournament and are the other two teams that have won championships in the last four years.

Thursday, March 27

  • 2:00 p.m. ET - No. 2 Boston U. (21-13-2) vs. No. 3 Ohio State (24-13-2)
  • 5:00 p.m. ET - No. 1 Western Michigan (30-7-1) vs. No. 4 Minnesota State-Mankato (27-8-3)
  • 5:30 p.m. ET - No. 1 Michigan State (26-6-4) vs. No. 4 Cornell (18-10-6) 
  • 8:30 p.m. ET - No. 2 Minnesota (25-10-4) vs. No. 3 Massachusetts (20-13-5)

Friday, March 28

  • 2:00 p.m. ET - No. 1 Boston College (26-7-2) vs. No. 4 Bentley (23-14-2)
  • 5:00 p.m. ET - No. 2 UConn (22-11-4) vs. No. 3 Quinnipiac (24-11-2)
  • 5:30 p.m. ET - No. 2 Providence (21-10-5) vs. No. 3 Denver (29-11-1)
