Many AHL clubs are fighting for position to be among the top seeds, as the AHL Calder Cup Playoffs begin in less than a month.

The Bears are one of the first three teams to clinch a spot in the postseason. They are also on the verge of winning the Atlantic division, with a slim lead over Charlotte.

23 teams qualify for the tournament, with five teams from the Atlantic, North, and Central divisions and seven teams from the Pacific division rounding out the Calder Cup playoffs.
