The matchup is set as Holy Cross and Bentley will square off Saturday night at Hart Center Rink in Worcester, Mass. The winner will hoist the Riley Trophy and punch its ticket to the 2025 NCAA Tournament.

Holy Cross is vying for its third AHA title (2004, 2006) and its third NCAA Tournament appearance, while Bentley is playing for its first. Bentley’s lone championship game appearance was that 2006 loss to Holy Cross.

Saturday’s championship game will be streamed on FloHockey and is set for 7 p.m. EDT. Here’s a look at the two teams.

Holy Cross (24-13-2, 19-5-2)

Head Coach: Bill Riga
Point Leader: Liam McLinskey, F, Sr. (23-28-51)
Between The Pipes: Thomas Gale, Gr. (24-12-2, .930 save percentage, 2.06 GAA)

Holy Cross swept Army in the semifinals, winning 3-2 in overtime and 5-1 in the finale. Devin Phillips delivered Friday’s overtime winner and had two goals in the series while Liam McLinskey had four points (1-3-4). Thomas Gale did his part at the other end, turning aside 74 of the 77 shots the Black Knights fired his way.

McLinskey, who earned his second selection to the Hobey Baker Top 10 Wednesday, was named the AHA Player and Forward of the Year on Tuesday and Gale was named the league’s Goalie of the Year. Gale was also a finalist for the Player of the Year. The Crusaders won two of the three matchups during the regular season.

Bentley (22-14-2, 16-9-1)

Head Coach: Andy Jones
Point Leader: Ethan Leyh, F, Gr. (16-22-38)
Between The Pipes: Connor Hasley, Jr. (20-12-2, .925 save percentage, 1.92 GAA)

Bentley swept Sacred Heart in the semifinals, taking the series with 5-2 and 3-0 wins. The Falcons fell behind 2-0 in Game 1 but scored the final eight goals of the series and have earned four of their past five wins in shutout fashion – which started with a 3-0 win at Holy Cross on Feb. 20.

Bentley has out-scored its opponents 17-4 over its past six games and 108-77 on the season, and the Falcons should head in with plenty of confidence. A.J. Hodges netted a hat trick last Friday, Ethan Leyh had a pair of goals in Game 2 and four points (2-2-4) in the series, and Connor Hasley earned his NCAA-leading 11th shutout of the season. Now they’ll try to earn another impressive road win and some hardware.
