After a last-second goal to defeat Canada in the third and final period of regulation, Czechia will face the United States in a semifinal matchup in the 2025 World Junior Championships.

Just when the game appeared to be headed for an extra period, St. Louis Blues prospect forward Adam Jecho knocked in the game-winning power-play goal with under 40 seconds remaining.

This is now the second consecutive year that Czechia eliminated Team Canada from the World Junior Championships and sought its first gold medal since 2001, the second year of its back-to-back golds.

Last season, the quest for gold came to an end after losing to Sweden's eventual runner-up, who also punched its ticket to the semifinals earlier in the afternoon.

How To Watch Team USA Vs. Czechia In 2025 World Juniors Semifinals

Team USA vs. Czechia can be watched in the semifinals on Jan. 4 at 3:30 p.m. ET on NHL Network and TSN in the World Junior Championships.

The 2025 IIHF World Junior Championship will air on TSN and RDS on television in Canada. The tournament will be streamed on TSN+ in Canada, as well. 

In the United States, NHL Network will be the television home of the World Junior Championship. Streaming information for USA is not currently available.
