Now that we're one month into the AHL hockey season and the teams have had a chance to shake the new season jitters and start to build some chemistry amongst their new, we thought it would be a good time to check in on the standings.

Although it is a very long season until we're watching the 2025 Calder Cup Playoffs, AHL teams, rookies, and any and all NHL prospects have been making waves since the season kicked off just a month ago.

One of those players that have stood out amongst the rest is San Jose Barracuda rookie Collin Graf, with 14 points over 11 games played this season. The young forward from Quinnipiac University was signed by the San Jose Sharks on April 4, 2024 on an entry-level contract and scored his first NHL point just three days later.

The Sharks' AHL affiliate Barracuda have started their 2024-25 season as the second-best team in the Pacific. One year ago, the team had only recorded half as many wins at this point.
