Belleville Senators Take Lead Over Laval Rocket With 5 Minutes Remaining

  • In Utica, the Comets caught back up with the Monsters to make it 2-2 and give themselves a chance at breaking their losing streak.

Utica Comets Tie It Up With Two Goals In 14 Seconds

Utica Comets have had a rough season so far, but two goals in 14 seconds is one way to start the turnaround here and now. Nolan Foote (Adam Beckman, Colton White) and Adam Beckman were credited with the goals.

Cleveland was called for a hooking call immediately putting the Comets on the power play heading into the intermission.

They had the man advantage to start the third and were unable to capitalize.

Goals from Viktor Neuchev, Konsta Helenius, and Josh Dunne give the Rochester Americans a 4-goal lead.

Rochester Shoots To Make History With 6 Wins In A Row, Laval Rocket Aims For 8

One major storyline between tonight's games is the Amerks going for their sixth win in a row. They began their lossless campaign on Wednesday, Oct. 23 against the Monsters—who they've beaten three times on this particular streak. Utica Comets account for the other two wins.

Should Rochester secure a win Friday, it would mark the 2,500th win in the history of the AHL’s second-oldest franchise. Only the Hershey Bears (3,107) have reached 2,500 wins in the AHL, allowing the Amerks to become the second team in the 89-year history of the league to reach such a feat.

They take on the Wolf Pack tonight at 7:05 p.m. ET.

Other teams streaking across the league includes the Laval Rocket with seven and Milwaukee Admirals with eight.
