AHL Power Rankings: Nov. 6
1. Milwaukee Admirals
Even with significant offseason turnover, the Admirals are already starting to round into form. They went into Winnipeg and swept perennial rival Manitoba. Now they have a home-and-home series with Chicago that could yield more points.
Top Scorer: Vinnie Hinostroza (9 GP, 5-11--16)
2. Charlotte Checkers
They can skate, and they play with pace. The Checkers look like a legitimate threat to Hershey’s grip on the Atlantic Division.
Top scorer: Aidan McDonough (8 GP, 7-2--9)

With an opening night hat trick and four goals in two games to open the season, McDonough is off to a hot start for the Charlotte Checkers 🔥🏒@TheAHL | @CheckersHockey #AHL pic.twitter.com/ApipwekJUf
3. Calgary Wranglers
The Wranglers are feasting during an eight-game homestand that will keep them in town for nearly three weeks. Picking up points is crucial now because eventually a demanding road schedule will beckon as it often does for Pacific Division clubs.
Top scorer: Rory Kerins (11 GP, 9-3--12)
4. Hershey Bears
The defending Calder Cup champion Bears are generally still getting results, but they are not a happy bunch when it comes to process. After five games in eight nights to open the season, they just finished a run of six games in nine nights. A lighter schedule this week comes at the right time.
Top scorer: Ethen Frank (11 GP, 9-4--13)
5. Laval Rocket
Head coach Pascal Vincent’s organized, structured approach combined with Laval’s youthful, up-tempo skill has been a successful combination so far. Two games at Belleville this weekend are a good test.
Top scorer: Joshua Roy (9 GP, 7-3--10)

🏆AHL PLAYER OF THE WEEK🏆
Montreal Canadiens prospect Logan Mailloux has been named the AHL's player of the week after picking up a goal and FOUR assists in two games 👀@TheAHL | #AHL@RocketLaval | #GoRocket @CanadiensMTL | #GoHabsGo pic.twitter.com/MxTFFd7v7M
6. San Jose Barracuda
An excellent start hit a thud this weekend as the Barracuda dropped a pair of games at Iowa. San Jose will be part of FloHockey's FREE AHL Game of the Week across its social media platforms Saturday as they take the Colorado Eagles, who check in at No. 13 on this week's power rankings. Details on how to follow that game for free here.
Top scorer: Collin Graf (9 GP, 3-9--12)
7. Toronto Marlies
After a light week, the Marlies go south this weekend for back-to-back games at Charlotte.
Top scorer: Logan Shaw (8 GP, 1-7--8)
8. Grand Rapids Griffins
If the Griffins can fire up their offense at some point, they could make themselves Calder Cup contenders. But if they can’t do better than 2.20 goals per game, every night will quickly become a grind.
Top scorer: Dominik Shine (10 GP, 4-4--8)

9. Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pengiuins
Even with some significant early hits to their roster, the Penguins continue to go about their business quietly and get results.
Top scorer: Emil Bemström (8 GP, 2-6--8)
10. Belleville Senators
With Mads Søgaard having been out, management acted quickly by bringing in proven goaltending help in Malcolm Subban to avoid putting too much on Leevi Meriläinen. This is a typically solid, hard-working B-Sens group.
Top scorer: Cole Reinhardt (5 GP, 4-6--10)
