The Hershey Bears, the AHL affiliate of the Washington Capitals, ended the 2023-24 season with a bang, winning not only the Atlantic Division but the Calder Cup Playoffs as a whole.

The Bears finished the season 53-14-0-5, winning the Calder Cup Finals against Western Conference Champion, the Coachella Valley Fire Birds, 4-2. This season, they will be unveiling new uniforms, but their expectations haven't changed from a season ago: they are determined to bring home another Calder Cup Trophy. They bring back plenty of veteran talent and added a mix of experienced players and new faces to their roster as they look for a repeat performance of last season.

They open up their season in an exciting manner, hosting the Cleveland Monsters in back to back games on October 12th and 13th in a rematch of last year's AHL Eastern Conference Finals. It was a thrilling matchup that went to 7 games, 5 of which were separated by one goal, and 4 of which went to overtime, including the final game in which Hershey pulled away with a 3-2 OT win at home.

The Bears will be raising their 2024 Calder Cup Championship banner during their home opener, just adding to the excitement of this thrilling season opener.
