The Montreal Canadiens have selected Ivan Demidov as the No. 5 pick in the NHL 2024 Draft at the Sphere in Las Vegas. 

The Canadiens brought out super-fan, and Las Vegas staple, Celine Dion to announce the pick. Chris Peters projected him to be picked No. 5 in the latest FloHockey mock draft.

Demidov is a Russian professional ice hockey winger for SKA-1946 of the MHL, the junior league team of SKA Saint Petersburg of the Kontinental Hockey League. 

Last season, he scored 20 goals and 37 assists in only 30 games.
