San Jose started things off with Macklin Celebrini as the first pick, followed by Artyom Levshunov joining the Chicago Blackhawks. Beckett Sennecke was the first surprise of the night, going third to the Anaheim Ducks.

Lindstrom has played the last two full seasons for the Medicine Hat Tigers of the Western Hockey League.

He projects to be a large center, at 6-foot-3. Chris Peters had him ranked No. 7 in his prospect rankings.
