The Columbus Blue Jackets have the No. 4 pick in the 2024 NHL Draft and are adding to their list of all-time first-round selections since 2000.

Columbus is poised to take center Cayden Lindstrom of the Medicine Hat Tigers, according to FloHockey's Chris Peters on June 28 during the first round of the 2024 NHL Draft, which begins at 7 p.m.

Whoever they take will follow in the footsteps of the club's first pick in 2000. Rostislav Klesla was the Blue Jackets' first-ever first round pick and like 2024, was taken with fourth overall.

Over the years, the Blue Jackets have had the No. 1 pick only once, using it to draft Rick Nash in 2002, who became a cornerstone player for the franchise.

Nash went on to become the franchise's all-time points leader and goal scorer and is tied with Cam Atkinson for the most goals in a Columbus season with 41.

In the 2023 NHL Draft, Columbus selected Adam Fantilli, a promising forward expected to make a significant impact. The Blue Jackets have a history of drafting key players who contribute to the team’s success, and Fantilli is anticipated to follow in their footsteps.

Here is the list of all the time Columbus Blue Jackets first round draft picks
