The Anaheim Ducks, a franchise founded in 1993, have navigated their NHL Draft history with varying degrees of success. And they have a chance to write a new chapter to that history at 7 p.m. EST on June 28 in Las Vegas at the 2024 NHL Draft.
The Ducks have the third pick in the draft and are hoping to have as much success in 2024 as they did in their first -ever draft.
In their inaugural draft in 1993, the Ducks selected right winger Paul Kariya with the fourth overall pick, marking their first-ever first round selection. Kariya went on to become a cornerstone player for the franchise, showcasing dynamic skill and leadership on the ice.
Kariya was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2017.
