The Chicago Blackhawks have a storied NHL Draft history, having selected numerous impactful players over the decades.

Their first-ever first round pick was Art Hampson, chosen 3rd overall in the 1963 NHL Draft. Hampson, however, did not have a notable NHL career.

But the Blackhawks made some franchise-changing picks after Hampson. And they could very well do that at 7 p.m. EST on June 28 in Las Vegas at the 2024 NHL Draft.

The Blackhawks have had the No. 1 overall pick twice in their history. The first came in 2007, when they selected Patrick Kane, who became a franchise cornerstone and led the team to three Stanley Cup championships in 2010, 2013, and 2015.

Most recently, in the 2023 NHL Draft, the Blackhawks secured the No. 1 overall pick again and selected highly-touted prospect Connor Bedard, who is expected to be a key player for the team's future.

The Blackhawks' drafting strategy has been instrumental in their success, particularly in building the championship teams of the 2010s through astute selections and player development. The organization fell one spot short of landing the No. 1 pick for the second straight season after Bedard scored 61 points in his rookie year.

So who will be paired with Bedard in 2024? Artyom Levshunov of Michigan State University could be the pick on Saturday. Here are the Chicago Blackhawks first round picks he would join.
