The Minnesota Hockey team enters the Men's NCAA Hockey Tournament as the No. 7 team in the field as they look to return to the Frozen Four for the second consecutive year. 

Standing in their way is Omaha, the No. 11 team in the field. The Mavericks qualified for the tournament for the just the fifth time in program history. The Mavericks beat Colorado College in the NCHC Playoffs to advance to the NCHC Frozen Faceoff where they lost to Denver 4-1 in the championship game. 

Minnesota (27-10-2) lost 4-3 in overtime to Wisconsin in the WCHA Final Faceoff.
