The 2024 IIHF World Junior Championship Gold Medal game is set as host Sweden and USA will play for the championship to finish off this year’s World Juniors. 

After upsetting two-time defending champion Canada in the quarterfinals, Czechia couldn’t overcome Sweden in the semifinals, losing 5-2 on Jan. 4. 

In the second semifinal game, Cutter Gauthier scored with 56:47 remaining to help the United States advance to the gold medal game over Finland, 3-2.

The semifinal round also including the relegation game between Germany and Norway, with Germany winning in overtime 5-4 to finish their WJC run. 

The finals will include two games: the Bronze Medal game and the Gold Medal game.

The Gold Medal game feature USA Hockey and Sweden is 1:30 p.m. on Jan. 5. in Gothenburg, Sweden.

The USA vs. Sweden game will be on NHL Network in the U.S. and on TSN in Canada.
