Celebrini, the top 2024 NHL Draft Prospect who could be the No.1 pick in the draft, fought off a possible suspension that might have kept him out of the first game of the tournament. After his hit in a pre-tournament game didn’t warrant a suspension, Celebrini helped cushion Canada’s lead, a cushion they desperately needed as Finland scored a goal in the third period to cut into the lead.
Canada went on to win 5-2.
