The World Juniors 2024 hockey tournament begins on Dec. 26 in Sweden, but teams are getting warmed up for the tournament with pre-tournament games across Sweden. 

And that includes USA vs. Canada, a possible IIHF World Junior Hockey Championship Game.

Team USA and Team Canada finalized rosters earlier this month in the lead-up for the tournament and both squads feature names hockey fans will likely hear during the 2024 NHL Draft. That includes Canada's Macklin Celebrini, the possible No.1 pick in this summer's NHL Draft. 

Here’s what to know about the USA vs Canada pre-tournament game. 

When Is USA vs. Canada During the World Juniors 2024 Pre-tournament

The game is set for Noon EST on Dec. 23 at Kungsbacka Ishall in Kungsbacka, Sweden.

How To Watch USA vs. Canada During the World Juniors 2024 Pre-tournament

The game will be on ESPN+ in the United States and on TSN in Canada. The game will also be shown on tape delay on NHL Network on Dec. 24. 

Team USA World Juniors 2024 Pre-tournament Schedule

Team USA will play two pre-tournament games before Dec. 26. 

• USA vs. Sweden, Noon, Dec. 21 streaming on SVT. This game is being played in Angelholm, Sweden. 
• USA vs Canada, Noon, Dec. 23, streaming on ESPN+ live and NHL Network at Noon on Dec. 24.

Team Canada World Juniors 2024 Pre-tournament Schedule

Canada defeated Denmark 8-0 on Dec. 19 in its first of three pre-tournament games. 

The rest of the schedule includes: 

• Canada vs. Switzerland at 9 a.m. in Angelholm, Sweden
• Canada vs. USA at Noon, Dec. 23.

IIHF World Juniors 2024 Location
