Report: 2024 NHL Draft To Be Held At The Sphere Las Vegas
NHL Draft hopefuls will descend on the Las Vegas Sphere for the 2024 NHL Draft, including projected first-overall selection Macklin Celebrini.
As chatter continues to build ahead of the 2024 NHL Entry Draft, a location has been confirmed and the Las Vegas Sphere will play host to the next wave of NHL stars, per TSN's Darren Dreger.
The NHL Draft will be held June 28/29 at the Sphere in Las Vegas. NHL Board just made it official. This will be the final draft before decentralizing.

The best of the best NHL Draft hopefuls will descend on the desert for the 62nd NHL Draft, including projected first-overall selection Macklin Celebrini who currently has 25 points in 15 games with Boston University.
While rumors of a call for a decentralized draft had been swirling for some time, NHL teams moved to make it official in an October vote, joining the NBA and NFL in having teams select players remotely while players attend the draft. The 2024 event will be the final NHL Draft with teams in attendance as all 32 teams will include staff
The Sphere opened in Las Vegas earlier this year with rock band U2 playing shows in residency at the venue. It is unclear at this time how the venue will be set up for the NHL Draft, but it is due to be a visually stunning affair.
The exterior of the building is covered in more than 580,000 square feet of LEDs, while the interior has a media plane that is the equivalent of four football fields. The concert capacity for the venue is more than 17,000.
Sphere Entertainment Co., is a division of MSG, which is owned and operated by James Dolan, who is also the owner of the NHL's New York Rangers.
The Draft will be held June 28 and 29, with the first round being held on the first night and rounds two through seven coming the following day.
